LONDON, 22 OCTOBER 2026: It was the ultimate 00s throwback as D Double E made a surprise appearance at the BACARDÍ® Halloween party at The Cross in London, taking guests back to the noughties with an unexpected live performance.

The MC, who made his name in East London's emerging grime scene in the early 00s, took to the stage as the night's secret special guest, bringing the raw energy and unmistakable sounds of the Y2K era back to one of London's most legendary club venues.

Known for his distinctive delivery and unmistakable ad-libs, D Double E brought a dose of old-school grime to the Halloween celebrations. As the opening notes of 'Street Fighter Riddim' kicked in, the crowd erupted as he took to the stage, delivering a high-energy performance featuring crowd favourites 'Bluku! Bluku!' and 'Bad 2 Tha Bone,' taking guests straight back to the days when grime was making its mark on UK music and nightlife.

Reflecting on the night, D Double E said: “The energy in there was mad! It really felt like stepping back into the 00s, when everyone was out for the music, the vibes and just having a good time. Seeing everyone going crazy when I dropped some of my old-school tracks was a proper highlight! The 00s were such a big time for UK music and club culture, especially with grime coming through, and it was sick to see that same energy back on the dancefloor. Back then, it was all about bringing people together through music, and tonight had that same raw energy. BACARDÍ really brought that era back to life at The Cross.”

And D Double E wasn't the only 00s icon bringing the nostalgia. Legendary producer SHY FX headlined the Halloween takeover, taking guests back to the decade with a high-energy set celebrating the sounds of the noughties, including his UK Top 10 hit 'Shake Ur Body', with MC Rage joining him on the mic.

For one night only, BACARDÍ turned back the clock at The Cross, bringing the sounds, style and attitude of the 00s back to life for a new generation to experience the energy and freedom of a legendary noughties night out first-hand.

From baggy cargos and double denim to velour tracksuits and Y2K-inspired looks, guests embraced the dress code and stepped straight back into the noughties, with BACARDÍ & Cokes in hand - the iconic serve that defined 00s club nights and continues to be a dancefloor favourite today.

Reflecting on the decade, SHY FX said: “The 00s were a mad time for partying. The energy on the dancefloor, the mix of people, everyone living in the moment. That’s what drum and bass and jungle have always been about. The Cross was a massive part of that culture. It was sick to bring some of that same energy back with BACARDÍ.”

A defining venue of London's legendary club scene, The Cross provided the ultimate backdrop for BACARDÍ's Halloween takeover, bringing together the music, style and freedom that made the decade unforgettable.

Billy Reilly, Owner of The Cross, commented: “The Cross was at the heart of London’s dance scene in the 00s, and the nights people enjoyed here are still talked about today. To bring that energy back for one night only with BACARDÍ was a pretty special opportunity. It was the one and only time we turned back the clock to this era, and it was amazing to see people experience the magic of the noughties all over again.”

The night saw guests dancing to a soundtrack of nostalgic anthems, with DJs Jossy Mitsu and Gracie Convert keeping the party going alongside SHY FX and the surprise performance from D Double E.

Beyond the dancefloor, BACARDÍ brought its signature Halloween spirit to the celebrations, with its new limited-edition glow-in-the-dark ghost bottle bringing a ghoulish touch to the immersive décor.

The limited-edition bottle, which is back in the UK by popular demand, features a haunting design that illuminates when the lights go out. Filled with BACARDÍ Carta Blanca Rum, it's perfect for a BACARDÍ & Coke or a Spookito, a Halloween twist on the classic BACARDÍ Mojito, and is available in major supermarkets nationwide, including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons and Waitrose, while stocks last (RRP: 1L £25, RRP: 70cl £19).
